Two MSTP students celebrating Match Day 2023

MSTP Students Match Day 2023 placements

Fourth-year medical students across the country learned where they will begin their residency training in their chosen field on National Residency Match Day on March 17. IU School of Medicine students, their families and friends gathered at the IUPUI Campus Center to open their envelopes and celebrate their “match.”

Hester Scholarship winners Burgess and Chu

MSTP students receive IUSCC Merilyn Hester Scholarship to pursue research

Future physician-scientists, Breanne Burgess and Michelle Chu received the prestigious Merilyn Hester Scholarship as they pursue their studies and research in pediatric oncology and pediatric hematology. The scholarship recognizes students’ strong academic records, outstanding character, and well-defined professional goals and provides funds to attend scientific conferences and offset lab expenses.

Three MSTP students recognized among the IUPUI Elite 50

Hendrik Greve was named among the IUPUI Premier 10 while Hayley Drozd and Gregory Grecco were recognized among the IUPUI Elite 50, all three demonstrating beyond the classroom in areas such as campus leadership, scholarly work and community engagement.

2022 MSTP graduate publishes study on new ways to treat asthma

Researchers from Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Microbiology and Immunology, including MSTP graduate Michelle Chu, are studying new ways to treat seasonal or intermittent asthma. Their findings were recently published in Science Immunology.
