Bio

Why I chose Family Medicine: My passion for storytelling is reflected in my choice of family medicine, which provides a platform to understand patients' backgrounds and advocate for them in their treatment. The aspect of continuity of care is particularly fulfilling as it allows me to be a part of my patients' lives and to witness their growth and progress over time, supporting them through both their triumphs and their struggles. I deeply value the trust that my patients place in me, and I strive to deliver personalized and empathic care that is rooted in their unique experiences

Why I chose the IU Family Medicine Residency Program: I chose IU because I was impressed by the program's commitment to nurturing individual voices and interests. The opportunity to tailor the curriculum to match my interests in medicine and explore various subspecialty training tracks was captivating. Most of all, the camaraderie I observed among faculty, staff, and residents on interview day and in person made me confident that joining this program would enable me to thrive to my full potential, not just as a physician, but also as a person.

Interests and hobbies: I blame it on being a Sagittarius, but nothing excites me more traveling the world and experiencing new cultures, cuisines, and cities. My friends call me "Martha Stewart" of the group for my love of baking and bringing cupcakes everywhere. I spread sweetness and calories like it's my job!

Languages I speak fluently: English and Arabic
