Bio
Why Emergency Medicine? I chose Emergency Medicine for the large spectrum of medicine that the specialty covers and the unique opportunity to provide care and counseling to patients and their family members in difficult situations.
Why did you choose the Indiana University School of Medicine Emergency Residency program? I grew up in Minnesota just outside the twin cities. After attending the University of Wisconsin for my undergraduate degree, I made my way to Detroit, Michigan where I went to Wayne State University for medical school. I came to IU for the outstanding clinical training and numerous opportunities available.
What are some of your personal interests? Clinical interests: critical care, pediatric emergency medicine, academic medicine. I enjoy spending time with friends and family. Some of my interests include cooking, baking, exercising, backpacking, and kayaking.
