Tara M. Casey, MHA

Tara Casey is the Associate Vice Chair of Clinical Operations for the Department of Medicine. In this role, she is responsible for leading and administering the clinical operations of the department. Tara graduated from Indiana University Bloomington with a public health degree and also has a Master’s degree in Health Administration from IU Fairbanks School of Public Health. She started her career as a healthcare administrator in 2010 with the Roudebush VA Medical Center in Indianapolis, and she departed in 2017 as Group Practice Manager of Ambulatory Care.  Tara then joined IU Health and the Department of Medicine at Indiana University where she spent three years as the Service Line Administrator of Hospitalists. In 2020, she joined the IU Department of Medicine Chair’s Office in her current role. Tara is an Army Veteran and she coordinated logistics during Operation Iraqi Freedom. Away from work, she serves on the Brownsburg Education Foundation Board and IU Fairbanks School of Public Health Alumni Board.
