Bio

Dr. Beatrice Stefanescu, MD, MBA, MS is the Medical Director of the Level IV Newborn Intensive Care Unit in the Division of Neonatology, the Co-Director of the inpatient NeuroNICU Program and the Assistant Chief of the Neonatal Clinical Programs at Riley Hospital for Children. Dr. Stefanescu graduated from the University of Medicine Timisoara, Romania.  She completed her Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine fellowship training at Wake Forest University in North Carolina.  She earned a Master’s in Public Health Services and Epidemiology from Wake Forest School of Arts and Sciences and an MBA with concentration in Healthcare Administration Services from the University of Southern Indiana. Her academic interests include the development of tools that allow the delivery of high-quality neonatal health care, initiation and oversight of research initiatives related to neonatal neurology, as well as the use of quality improvement methodology to enhance outcomes and patient safety.
