Alexander Scherer, MD, PhD

I grew up in Carmel, Indiana, and am thrilled to be back in the state for fellowship training after going to school on both coasts and completing residency training at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis at Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Entering fellowship, my career interests are currently in hepatology, but I am excited to get more exposure to other areas of GI, including IBD, as I get started. Outside of work, I spend my time with my wife, who I met in high school in Indianapolis, and our two sons. I enjoy sharing my interests in soccer, baseball, basketball, swimming, and puzzles with our boys.
