Bio
Dr. Girish Vitalpur is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics, and Director of the Allergy/ Immunology Fellowship Program, at the Indiana University School of Medicine. He graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine, completed pediatric residency at the Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, DC, and an allergy fellowship at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans. Dr. Vitalpur is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), American Academy of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (AAAAI), and American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology (ACAAI). He is involved in committees related to Eosinophilic Gastrointestinal Diseases (EGIDs), and in Adverse Food Reactions, through AAAAI. He is also Co-Director of the multidisciplinary EGIDs clinic at Riley. His research focuses on oral food challenges and their outcomes. Dr Vitalpur has also lectured extensively throughout the state to health professionals of various backgrounds and levels of training.
