Underrepresented in Medicine Visiting Residency

Indiana University School of Medicine is working to diversify the workforce by graduating more physicians from underrepresented groups and ensuring that all trainees are prepared to provide culturally competent care for patients from all walks of life. The Underrepresented in Medicine Visiting Residency supports residents who want to pursue a fellowship and provides them with the opportunity to spend time at our facilities.

This request must be initiated at least 90 days in advance of the requested start date (shorter timeframes may be denied or delayed). All required documents, licensure, and modules must be received, valid, and completed prior to the requested start date.

Early communication with the program director/coordinator of the program in which you desire to rotate is critical. All visiting rotations are subject to approval by the appropriate program director/coordinator.
