The female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery division at Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology provides clinical care and research to improve women’s health. Faculty in this division specialize in treating urogynecology conditions and pelvic floor disorders impacting women, such as urinary incontinence, lower urinary tract disorders, pelvic organ prolapse, defecatory dysfunction and childbirth-related injuries.
This division also includes the first accredited fellowship in female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery in the country. Fellows in this program train for three years to learn to provide exceptional clinical care for women. They also research new ways to diagnose and treat these difficult conditions.
