Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Surgery

Female pelvic medicine and reconstructive surgery, also known as female urology or urogynecology, refers to female urinary and reproductive system conditions treated by urologists or obstetrician-gynecologists. When these problems arise, they can cause pain, discomfort and possibly even embarrassment for some women. Faculty at Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Urology are dedicated to researching new ways to diagnose and treat these conditions while also providing exceptional clinical care through IU School of Medicine’s partnership with Indiana University Health.
