Dr. Santhana grew up in Iowa City, IA. She attended the University of Iowa (Go Hawks!) where she received her degree in biomedical engineering. She proceeded to attend the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine for medical school. Her areas of interest include medical education and research. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, playing tennis, spending time with her husband and family, trying new restaurants, and gardening.
