Katherine M. Makaroff, MD

Internal Medicine/Pediatrics, PGY 4
University of Cincinnati College of Medicine

Bio

Hometown: Oxford, Ohio
Undergrad: Miami University
Medical School: University of Cincinnati College of Medicine
Professional Interests: Currently leaning towards combination of hospitalist and outpatient primary care.
Hobbies: Trying new restaurants and breweries with friends, cooking, various sports (soccer and flag football are my favorite)
Why IU: One of the first things that drew me to IU was the noticeably strong and independent Med-Peds identity the program has, as well as being supported by very strong medicine and pediatrics categorical programs. I knew that through the variety of hospitals and diverse patient population, I would be set up for success no matter what avenue of Med-Peds I chose to take after residency. Like I am sure many others have said as well though, the thing that sold me the most was the people. On my interview it was clear that the residents and their significant others were one big family, one of which I am so happy to be a part of now!
