Why IU: For so many reasons, IU was the program I compared all others to while I was on the interview trail. It was evident the strong presence Med-Peds had at IU on my interview day, and it has become even more apparent in my first few months of residency. Not only is the program well-respected amongst the categorical sides, but the integration is seamless. With such a large program, it is also easy to find a Med-Peds colleague anywhere you go. The diversity of educational opportunities that are present from the five hospitals we rotate at is incredible. Although I am currently undecided in what I want to pursue in the future, I am confident that I will be set up for success no matter what I end up choosing. Additionally, the people here are some of the brightest (yet modest) individuals I have had the pleasure to meet and work alongside. Everyone is dedicated, passionate, and kind; it is true that we are one big family who looks out for one another and I am so happy to say that I am part of it!
