Bio

Why Emergency Medicine? I love getting to help patients at their most vulnerable moments. It’s a great privilege and responsibility to do everything I can to help them. The fast-paced challenge of taking limited information from variety of presentations, coming to quick and accurate diagnoses, and ensuring fast and quality care to stabilize them is so rewarding every day.

Why did you choose the Indiana University School of Medicine Emergency Residency program? I chose IU because of the people and the training. The people here felt like family from the start. It’s a culture of mentorship and support. My colleagues have made me feel like I belong every step of the way. Additionally, the training here is incredible. Getting to train at 3, level 1 trauma centers each with a unique feel allows us to get comfortable in a variety of settings with all kinds of patients. IU has challenged me immensely, while providing a supporting environment of peers and mentors that are here for me.

What are some of your personal interests? I love to travel, be outdoors, explore new restaurants and cocktails with friends, spend time with my dogs and family, and ride my peloton. My partner and I also started a small kombucha business, so I enjoy getting to be in the kitchen testing and making new flavors.
