Stroke specialists in the Department of Neurology at Indiana University School of Medicine  are dedicated to limiting cerebrovascular disease incidence and reducing stroke-related disability through innovations and excellence in education, research and coordinated patient care.

Under the leadership of program director James D. Fleck, MD, the IU School of Medicine stroke program focuses on every facet of stroke management, from emergency room to discharge. The multidisciplinary team of stroke specialists offers patients quality, effective treatment for different types of stroke, and guidance on how to remain as healthy as possible. Dedicated faculty are also committed to educating the next generation of cerebrovascular scientists and clinicians who will continue the mission of reducing the number of Americans affected by stroke every day.
