Medical Student Education

The Department of Neurological Surgery offers third- and fourth-year elective clerkship rotations as well as a special elective for medical students at Indiana University School of Medicine interested in gaining experience in neurological surgery. Medical students will experience rotations at clinical partner facilities statewide.

In addition to advanced electives, IU School of Medicine offers the Julius M. Goodman Scholarship to deserving fourth-year medical students interested in pursuing neurological surgery. Every student is automatically considered for the scholarship. There is no application process.
