Faculty physicians in the Department of Neurological Surgery at Indiana University School of Medicine use state-of-the-art technology and multi-disciplinary approaches to treat patients of all ages for disorders of the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves and vascular structures of the central nervous system. Some of these disorders include degenerative and congenital spinal problems, tumors, seizures, movement disorders, vascular abnormalities, traumatic injuries, pain, congenital and acquired craniofacial problems, cerebrospinal fluid disorders and cranial and peripheral nerve compression.

The entire breadth of neurosurgical services are provided by nationally and internationally recognized faculty who have training in vital neurosurgical subspecialties. Nurses and advanced practice providers are also integrated into the clinical experience to provide efficiency of care and enhanced access, and residents and students benefit from the extensive clinical experiences available in the affiliated clinics and hospitals.
