Why do faculty choose to practice at IU School of Medicine? For many, it is commitment to teaching the next generation of physicians. PACES provides guidance and resources for faculty who seek further development as skilled educators, innovators, and leaders in medicine.

Abstract Writing Workshops

Narrative Medicine Writing Workshops

The PACES Program is excited to offer Narrative Medicine Writing Workshops, geared toward helping faculty explore and develop their narrative writing skills. Narrative Medicine allows clinicians to strengthen their practice through self-awareness and exploration. By telling our stories and those of our patients, we hope to create a deeper understanding of our experiences and become better physicians.
PACES Grants

PACES Grants, sponsored by the Division of General Internal Medicine & Geriatrics, are intended to advance scholarship for clinical faculty within the Division. Focus areas include Geriatrics, Hospital Medicine, Palliative Medicine, and Primary Care. Grants may focus on small research projects, quality improvement, educational projects or professional development. Faculty are required to disseminate what they accomplish in the form of publications, presentations at local, regional or national conferences, and/or lectures.
