Heart and Vascular Care at IU Health

Improving care across Indiana

The Coronary and Ischemic Heart Disease Quality and Clinical Effectiveness Council is helping roll out a highly sensitive blood test—called high sensitivity troponin—for patients across the state being evaluated for possible heart attack. The increased sensitivity allows for earlier and more accurate detection of heart muscle damage, so patients can get appropriate and timely treatment.
