Five primary hospital affiliates host the majority of residency and fellowship programs. Collaboration is made all the easier by close physical proximity on the IU School of Medicine Indianapolis campus. Trainees here enjoy all the benefits offered by Indiana's state capital.

Lafayette

Muncie

IU School of Medicine offers three residency programs based at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie: internal medicine, family medicine and transitional year. The school's Muncie campus offers all the benefits of traditional campus life in a small town.

Northwest Indiana

Part of the Northwest Indiana GME Consortium, the Psychiatry Residency in Merrillville trains residents in fully integrated models of care while increasing access to psychiatric services within underserved communities in Northwest Indiana close to the school's Northwest-Gary campus.

Southwest Indiana

The Southwest Indiana GME Consortium supports internal medicine, psychiatry and family medicine residency programs with a focus on rural population health. The consortium maintains close ties to the IU School of Medicine Evansville campus.
