Bio

Juan Nicolas Useche, MD, is a diagnostic neuroradiologist with a sub-specialty interest in neurointerventional radiology. He has been an assistant professor of clinical radiology in the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences since 2021. Dr. Useche completed his radiology residency in 1999 at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana (PUJ) in Bogotá Colombia, South America. He worked as a general radiologist with a particular interest in neuroradiology and interventional procedures in a private and academic setting until 2008. Dr. Useche was a neuroradiology fellow at IU School of Medicine from 2008 – 2010. After his fellowship, he returned to South America, working as a diagnostic and interventional neuroradiologist. He has over 40 publications in peer review journals in both English and Spanish. He has been a lecturer in Colombian, Latin American and European radiology meetings. Dr. Useche’s interests are primarily neurovascular diseases, stroke, and interventional procedures and now emphasizes in spine and head and neck interventions.
