Bio

Kellie Cranfill, MSRS, is Program Director and Assistant Clinical Professor for the Radiologic & Imaging Sciences Programs at Indiana University on the IUPUI campus.  Prior to joining IU, she taught radiologic sciences courses as a faculty member at Ivy Tech State College.  Kellie has over ten years of clinical experience and over twenty-five years of teaching. Kellie also worked many years as a Clinical Instructor while employed at Johnson Memorial Hospital, St. Francis Hospital, and Community Health Network.

Kellie created a Limited Radiography Certification course for the Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) that ran for 12 years.  This course provided radiation safety and protection for cardiac cath nurses that were eligible for a Limited Radiography Certification.  Kellie was the sole educator in this program and graduated over 300 nurses from the State of Indiana.

Kellie is an active member in several professional societies, belonging to the Indiana Society of Radiologic Technologists (ISRT) and the American Society of Radiologic Technologists (ASRT) for over 25 years.  Other professional organizations include the Association of Educators in Imaging & Radiologic Sciences (AEIRS) and the Association of Collegiate of Educators in Radiologic Technology (ACERT).  She has held numerous board positions and served as the President for the ISRT in 2003-2004.  In 2011 she earned the prestigious recognition of life member with the ISRT.  Kellie has been an invited guest lecturer with the ISRT and AEIRS several times.

Kellie served a college site visitor with the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) for ten years.  This organization serves as the primary accrediting body for radiography programs across the United States.  Kellie has traveled the US coast-to-coast, as well as Puerto Rico, during her time with the JRCERT.  Kellie also serves on the Advisory Board the the Merrill's Atlas Positioning textbook and the Review Board for the Radiography Essentials for Limited Practice textbook.
