Bio
Jerry Kovoor, MD is a Neurointerventional Radiologist has been a faculty of Indiana University of School of Medicine since 2016. He completed ACGME accredited fellowship in Diagnostic Neuroradiology at Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa in 2014-2015 and fellowship in Neurointerventional Radiology at the Carver College of Medicine, University of Iowa in 2005-2006.He has also completed ACGME accredited fellowship in vascular and interventional radiology at UT Southwestern Medical Centre, Dallas, Texas in 2015-2016. His areas of interest include both endovascular and nonendovascular neurointerventional radiology procedures, not limited to, but including coiling intracranial aneurysms, intracranial and extracranial angioplasty and stenting, endovascular treatment of pial and dural AVMs and AVFs, and Carotico cavernous fistula. He is also proficient in interventional acute ischemic stroke procedures of mechanical thrombectomy.
He is also proficient with spine interventional procedures – fluoroscopy guided lumbar punctures, myelography, CT guided spine biopsies, vertebroplasty, kyphoplasty, facet and other pain procedures including sacroplasties.
