Bio

Kathryn Niemeyer, MD, is a breast imaging radiologist and has been a member of the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences faculty since 2017. Dr. Niemeyer completed her undergraduate training at the University of Michigan. She then returned home to St. Louis, MO to pursue her medical school training at Washington University in St. Louis. Her radiology residency was at Loyola University in Chicago, where she served as Co-Chief Resident. She completed her breast imaging fellowship at IU School of Medicine and has served as the Breast Imaging Fellowship Director since 2022. She also more widely serves the IU School of Medicine community in her role on the Point of Care Ultrasound curriculum committee. She also works with the professional development committee to improved mentorship and faculty development within the Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. Her interests include teaching the residents and fellows daily and mentorship with trainees in research and developing improved educational tools for students of all ages.
