Bio
Dr. Liao is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and has been a faculty member at IUEM since 2019. He graduated from UC Davis School of Medicine in 2015 and from the IU Emergency Medicine Residency in 2018. His EMS Fellowship was completed in 2019. He works clinically at IU Methodist Hospital. His current additonal roles include serving as an EMS Medical Director for Indianapolis EMS, Wayne Township Fire Department and a team physician for Indiana Task Force 1 (a FEMA Urban Search and Rescue Team). As a Major with the US Army, he has been deployed in support of Operation Inherent Resolve and Operation Spartan Shield as a flight surgeon and served as the Brigade Surgeon for the 54th Security Forces Assistance Brigade headquartered in Indianapolis.
