Bio

Dr. Waseem joined the division of Pediatric Gastroenterology at Indiana University after completing her fellowship at the University of Florida Gainesville, in 2009.  Her specific interest has been in the area of gastroparesis and other gastrointestinal motility disorders.  Dr. Waseem introduced and started up the program of Gastric Electrical Stimulation (GES) device (Enterra) placement at Indiana University. This device is a new and novel therapeutic option used for patients with medically refractory gastroparesis, intractable vomiting and feeding intolerance.  Moreover, this new innovative treatment is available only in a few pediatric motility centers throughout the nation.
