Bio

Hasnaa E. Jalou, MD is the Medical Director of the Sleep Center at Riley Hospital for Children and the Director of the Pediatric Respiratory therapist at Indiana University North Hospital. She is an Associate Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. She is a graduate of Aleppo School of medicine in 1990. Dr. Jalou completed a transitional internal medicine residency at The VA medical Center and Boston University School of medicine, followed by her pediatric residency at St. Joseph Medical center and Children Hospital / Seton Hall University and pediatric Pulmonary fellowship at Westchester medical center /New York Medical College. Dr. Jalou completed a sleep Medicine Pathway and earned her sleep Medicine Diplomate in 2009.  Dr. Jalou holds membership in numerous national professional societies including the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), The American thoracic society (ATS), and The American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM). Her Research focuses on sleep disordered breathing in children with obesity, Chromosomal abnormalities (Down syndrome) and has special interest in cystic fibrosis and sleep disordered breathing.
