Kevin R. Shiue, MD

Dr. Shiue was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but considers himself a Hoosier, having lived in central Indiana since the age of 5. Dr. Shiue became interested in becoming an oncologist when a family member was diagnosed with cancer while he was in college. He was drawn to the field because of the bravery and determination of the patients.

Dr. Shiue received his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine and completed his residency in radiation oncology at IU. He is an assistant professor of clinical radiation oncology. His main clinical and research interests include central nervous system and thoracic tumors. He is currently involved in several brain metastasis-focused trials and continues to publish in the field. Neurocognitive outcomes of treatment are of particular interest to him.

Outside of medicine, Dr. Shiue and his wife are avid supporters of and participants in the arts. He is a full volunteer member of the Carmel Symphony Orchestra as an amateur violinist.
