  • Research
My research focuses on health equity issues among children, adolescents, and young adults. I work collaboratively with academic and community partners to identify salient research questions, link existing data and uncover existing resources, investigate mutable factors contributing to structural and systemic injustice, and build sustainable infrastructure that promotes translational and impactful research. My work has resulted in a curated data set of Marion County (Indianapolis), Indiana clinical, public health, and justice data sources from 2000 to present and involves partnerships with many community-based agencies. Using these individually-linked, longitudinal data, my team and I study the social determinants of health, patterns of healthcare and social service utilization, justice involvement and residential mobility in order to identify opportunities for intervention among vulnerable populations.
