Bio

David W. Stockwell, MD, joined the Department of Neurological Surgery in 2016. He specializes in treating complex spine issues in both adult and pediatric patients. Dr. Stockwell  utilizes both surgical and non-surgical methods to manage spine conditions that include:  degenerative disc disease, myelopathy, adult degenerative scoliosis, and adolescent idiopathic scoliosis.

Dr. Stockwell earned his medical degree from IU School of Medicine in 2008 and completed his Neurosurgery Residency at the University of Vermont is 2015. Prior to joining the IU Department of Neurological Surgery, he was a Spine Fellow at Texas Medical Center in Houston.

When away from the hospital, Dr. Stockwell enjoys exploring Indiana with his wife and friends.
