Bio

As a clinical psychologist, I am interested in providing evidence based care which will guide research hypotheses and enable training opportunities vital to the forward trajectory of the field of psychology. I strongly believe that integrating a number of areas in psychology and psychiatry, at multiples levels of analysis, will be necessary to improve our understanding of underlying mechanisms and promote development of novel, more effective, therapeutic interventions for patients with severe and persistent mental illnesses.

I am active in a number of ongoing research projects with the IU Psychotic Disorders Program and in collaboration with the MERIT Institute, founded by Dr. Paul H. Lysaker. My publications reflect the breadth of my work, ranging from topics such as metacognition and negative symptoms in patients with schizophrenia to electrophysiological abnormalities in both humans and rodent models of psychopathology. In addition, I serve as a clinical psychologist in the Changing Health Outcomes through Integrated Care Excellence (CHOICE) program at IU Health.
