Bio

Dr. Doehring is an associate professor of clinical emergency medicine. Originally from Nashville, TN, she graduated from Vanderbilt University in 1992 with a B.A. in History and completed her medical education at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in 1996. She graduated from the residency in emergency medicine at Indiana University in 1999. She then moved to Augusta, GA while her husband served in the U.S. Army and she took her first EM job as a faculty member at the Medical College of Georgia. In 2003 she returned to join the faculty here at IUEM where she works clinically at Eskenazi Hospital.   

In 2019 she was honored with the Indiana University Part-Time Faculty Teaching Award.  Her interests include physician wellness and patient safety.  She currently serves on the IUEM Wellness committee and with the EM Women’s Mentoring Group.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, hiking, jogging (slowly), and volunteering in the Indianapolis community.
