Bio

Dr. Sloan is a 1997 graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and a 2000 graduate of the IUEM residency program. He completed a fellowship in primary care sports medicine in 2001 in South Bend, Indiana through St. Josephs Medical Center and the University of Notre Dame. Upon completion of his fellowship in 2001 he returned to Indianapolis as faculty at Eskenazi Hospital in the Department of Emergency Medicine which is now Eskenazi Health Emergency Department. He has worked as an EM nocturnalist for 14 years in the Eskenazi Emergency Department.
Dr. Sloan's EM interests include musculoskeletal medicine, exertional heat stroke, and sports medicine related topics. In 2016 he invented a medical device and founded MD2 which is working to bring a novel medical device to market for wound irrigation. 

He is married to his wife Leslie and has three children, Grant, Megan, and Ben. His hobbies include hunting, reading, coaching youth sports, and adventure travel.
