Dr. Diaz, an attending psychiatrist at IU Health University Hospital, plays a crucial role in the Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Service. This tertiary care hospital provides both satisfying and challenging clinical experiences for patients and trainees alike. The integration of medical and psychiatric skills is essential for individual trainees and represents the future of psychiatry.
Dr. Diaz’s contributions extend beyond clinical practice. He founded the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) accredited Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry Fellowship and continues to serve as an associate program director. He is associate medical director for the Indiana State Division of Mental Health and Addiction (DMHA). His commitment to education and patient care in his profession is evident.
