Residency Program Director in Emergency Medicine

The Residency Program Director in Emergency Medicine will be the inaugural Program Director for the IU Health - IU School of Medicine–Bloomington program, which anticipates matching its first class of residents in March 2024. The Program Director will be a clinical track faculty member of the Department of Emergency Medicine of IU School of Medicine and will have the opportunity to build a brand new emergency medicine residency with a focus on rural and community emergency medicine.

The Residency Program Director in Internal Medicine will be the inaugural Program Director for the IU Health - IU School of Medicine–Bloomington program, which anticipates matching its first class of residents in March 2024. The Program Director will be a clinical track faculty member of the Department of Medicine of IU School of Medicine and will have the opportunity to build a brand new community-based, primary care-focused internal medicine residency.

Assistant Designated Institutional Official

The Assistant Designated Institutional Official (DIO) will recruit, develop and lead a team of professional faculty and support staff to create and manage graduate medical education (GME) programs at IU School of Medicine–Bloomington. The Bloomington campus and the South Central Region of IU Health have a long and rich tradition of interdisciplinary collaboration with other health sciences. The Assistant DIO will have the opportunity to leverage community and university resources to create a visionary and impactful GME footprint. The Assistant DIO will provide oversight for development and implementation of educational programs within the clinical learning environment and the integration of GME with hospital affiliates.
