Campus Transportation

Bikes dominate in Bloomington, but walking and public transportation are also great ways to get around the campus and city. With a student ID, IU School of Medicine-Bloomington students can access any campus or city bus for free. Explore routes and schedules for the Campus Bus Service and Bloomington Transit. Learn more about sustainable transportation options from the IU Office of Sustainability.

Parking

Student, faculty and staff parking permits may be purchased online from the Office of Parking Operations. Keep in mind, in an effort to preserve green spaces, parking is limited on the Bloomington campus.

Students are not permitted to use the residential parking spots at the hospital, but many IU School of Medicine-Bloomington students park for free at the Bryan Park lot south of campus and walk north to the Biology Building. Students can walk, bike or take a bus from the Biology Building to the hospital, which is 1.2 miles from the Biology Building. For more information about getting around campus, including late-night safe rides, check out the Bloomington Transportation and Parking site.
